چکیده
Researchers have typically searched for and postulated a universalistic form of the internationalization-performance relationship. In this study, we evaluate the validity of this ‘grande theory’ logic by investigating 80 Swiss multinational companies in manufacturing industries over the 5-year period 1998-2002. Our findings suggest that the form of the internationalization-performance relationship is more likely to be context dependent. In particular, firms face certain home country “givens” (geographical location, cultural/institutional attributes, and home market size) that act as moderator variables of the internationalization-performance relationship. Thus, the line of inquiry may benefit from future investigations that more explicitly explore home country effects on the form of the internationalization-performance relationship.

The GAINS Optimization Module as of 1 February 2007
This document describes the optimization framework of the GAINS model for Europe. The approach is compared to the approach used in the RAINS model and a detailed description of the objective function, the constraints and the impact functions is given. Finally a comparison of individual single pollutant cost curves generated from the RAINS model and with the optimization module of GAINS is given...
متن کاملPaenibacillus larvae Bacteremia in Injection Drug Users
Paenibacillus larvae causes American foulbrood in honey bees. We describe P. larvae bacteremia in 5 injection drug users who had self-injected honey-prepared methadone proven to contain P. larvae spores. That such preparations may be contaminated with spores of this organism is not well known among pharmacists, physicians, and addicts.
